Dr. Avery Gottwalt

Dr. Avery Gottwalt grew up in High Point, where her passion for animal care began at an early age while working alongside her veterinarian parents at their practice. She earned her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Science from Clemson University, where she also participated in dairy cattle showing and research focused on ruminant nutrition.

Dr. Gottwalt went on to earn her veterinary degree from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 before practicing in both the Triangle and Triad regions of North Carolina. Her professional interests include dermatology, preventive medicine, and senior pet care, and she is excited to continue serving pets and their families at Total Care Veterinary Hospital and Skeet Club Veterinary Hospital.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Gottwalt enjoys running, backpacking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Brian, along with their dog, Maverick, and cat, Liesel.
