Harvey A. Goho

DVM & Co-Owner

Dr. Harvey Goho received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He also has a BS in animal science from West Virginia University. Dr. Goho has been at Total Care Veterinary Hospital since 1989. His areas of professional interest include orthopedics and dentistry. Dr. Goho was also a trail veterinarian for the Iditarod sled dog race in 2005, 2006, and 2007. When he is not caring for the animal companions of High Point, NC, Dr. Goho enjoys running, reading, camping, and spending time with his family.

Shelly Figgatt

DVM

Dr. Shelly Figgatt grew up in High Point and returned to the Triad after graduating from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She has been with Total Care and Skeet Club since June of 2002 and her interests include feline medicine, behavior, and client education.

She is married to Patrick and has two children, Alex and Kathryn, and three kitties, Mini, Oliver, and Gus. She enjoys spending time with her family and participating in various church activities including singing in the choir and going on mission trips to Guinea-Bissau, West Africa. In 2022, she started a new hobby of dancing competitively, following in her daughter’s footsteps. Who says an old dog can’t learn new tricks?

Fun Fact: Dr. Figgatt has an identical twin, so if you think you see her around town, maybe you do or maybe you don’t!

Anna Pennington

DVM

Anna Pennington, originally from Tampa, Florida, is our newest member of the Skeet Club team. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Florida and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her areas of professional interest include veterinary surgery, nutrition, and behavior. When she is not working in the hospital, Dr. Pennington enjoys hiking, horseback riding, being outdoors, listening to music, trying local food spots, and spending time with her cattle dog mix, Arya, who is a ball of energy and always a source of entertainment.

Avery Gottwalt

DVM

Dr. Avery Gottwalt grew up in High Point, North Carolina with a love of animals instilled in her from an early age, with both of her parents being veterinarians. After working at their practice during high school, she then obtained her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Science at Clemson University, where she also showed dairy cattle and did research in ruminant nutrition. She graduated from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and practiced in both the Triangle and Triad. Her clinical interests include dermatology, preventative medicine, and geriatric care, which she is thrilled to continue as a member of Skeet Club and Total Care Veterinary Hospitals. When not at work, Dr. Gottwalt enjoys running, backpacking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Brian, dog, Maverick, and cat, Liesel.
